Theme

Several months ago, we announced a lighter, more literary theme than this ominous one, but I changed it to this Cahun quote while I was feeling pessimistic about... well, everything. In fact, the long pause between issues was partly due to me needing a mental health break.

Before starting this announcement, I considered switching back to a lighter theme, because today I'm feeling more hopeful and optimistic than I have in a long time. But, let's admit, we still have a long hard fight ahead of us. Current times are much like the state of the world when Cahun was alive and active. Her art was as much about resistance as it was about identity.

Fascism isn't now, and never was, a fad. Resistance and revolution aren't ephemeral movements. They are states of mind that require continuous vigilance and nurturing. The bastards aren't going away any time soon. And neither will we.
